Job Description

* Manages a team of individual contributors for a subregion or region by monitoring and/or setting performance goals and objectives, staffing program and project teams, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of process reviews and programs. * Works closely with process and capabilities team to define program parameters; motivates, coaches, and fosters creativity within teams. * Defines project scope, prioritizes initiatives, and determines resource needs. * Provides guidance on processes/programs of moderate to high complexity. * Interprets significance of findings, concludes on issues, and makes practical recommendations and strategic decisions. * Leads program improvements; leads projects and corporate initiatives at the sub-regional or regional level. * Identifies potential issues and recommends solutions. * Communicates and consults with business managers and advises management in the successful implementation of recommendations, while effectively overseeing the entire process. * Represents HP to internal and external stakeholders, such as management and external clients, on all process and capability matters. * May lead multiple projects or initiatives. * May lead the process and capabilities operations for one or more countries, or for one or more business lines in a larger geography. * Typically partners with internal clients at the Director level or above. Detailed job description The Volume Operations Order to Cash (OTC) Manager is responsible for the analysis, definition and implementation of business processes and capabilities to support and enable the regions to provide fast and efficient order to cash experiences for our customers and partners. This includes business management of key IT assets to drive improvements in support of the OTC strategy. The OTC team is responsible for the complete customer experience on how orders flow from customer order receipt to up to collections of cash including the order entry, delivery and dispute process experiences. This Manager works their reports and the operations teams in the regions to understand the order management performance issues facing our customers and partners and work with the appropriate organizations; sales, operations, credit and collections and supply chain to develop plans to address the issues in alignment with the OTC strategy. * You will manage your team to enable delivery of large cross-functional solutions. * You will organize and lead cross-functional solution team activities to ensure that all deliverables meet the customer and partner needs and business requirements. * You will also act as champion for higher-level management, and provide thought leadership, direction, and guidance to the team and other indirect reports. * You will accomplish this by coordinating activities through indirect staff, working with operations management to identify and improve overall efficiency of the program.

Desired Profile

Education and Experience Required * First-level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree. * Typically 8+ years related experience. * Typically 0-2 years of people management experience. * Quality improvement training required. Knowledge and Skills Required * Content expert in the field of process and capabilities management with a strong systematic knowledge of project management tools. * Strong financial and business acumen; general industry knowledge. * In-depth knowledge of the business planning process within HP. * Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including goal-setting, conflict resolution, performance management, budget planning, problem solving, evaluation, and employee engagement. * Strong project management skills. * Very strong communication and influence and presentation skills, including both written, verbal and forms. Mastery in English and local language as well as other languages as required. * Very strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including competency in financial analysis. * Ability to apply management core competencies in working with both internal clients and external partnerships. * Ability to understand customer needs, and address needs with workable programs. HP Sales Operations Productivity Tools/Processes Understands how the systematic application of HP's sales planning & productivity tools/processes contribute to effective work management Supply Chain Fundamentals Understands key supply chain concepts and practices and uses these to maintain a big picture perspective during customer engagements Information Management Acumen Demonstrates fundamental understanding of information management systems and infrastructure Change Management Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization Problem Solving Approaches problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution Tool Development/Enhancement Develops, improves and educates on tools used in area of control in alignment with corporate business needs, requirements or goals. Able to create and deliver globally consistent, standardized solutions.
