This position is for Mobile Microprocessor Architecture group in Bangalore India that is part of the larger Haifa, Israel team. In this position, you will be architecting advanced mobile and server platforms for 2010-2012 and beyond. You will be a key part of a highly select team that defines and architects the most advanced computing systems for Intel. Your responsibilities will also include but not be limited to: - Guiding the architecture and designing optimal system and components, by enabling correct power and performance trade-offs when architecting next-gen platforms - Comprehending / translating micro-architecture specifications for PC platform components like CPU, last-level-cache-interconnect, high-performance Graphics Hardware, memory controllers and others into the performance simulation environment and performing sophisticated studies while working very closely with other world-class mobile / server platform / component architects - Involved pathfinding research studies on core / uncore / interconnect / platform aspects of futuristic mobile / server systems, platform performance projections, new technology development, and pre-silicon RTL performance correlation
Desired Candidate Profile
You should possess at least a Master's degree or a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with relevant experience of over four years in microprocessor, computer system and/or platform architecture. Additional qualifications include: - Must have a very strong computer architecture background and/or micro architecture/ASIC-design experience - Expertise in cycle-accurate performance simulation technology and languages like SystemC, knowledge of power modeling and estimation, methodologies and techniques at the microarchitectural level - Ability to take initiative, being innovative and having excellent interpersonal skills - High degree of technical independence and excellent result orientation skills - Experience with EDA tools like Specman*, ModelSim*, CoWare* and others would be an added advantage - Programming skills in C/C++/Perl would be an added advantage - Experience with graphics processors and/or chipsets would be an added advantage
