AUCET Results released
The results of Andhra University Common Entrance Test AUCET – 2011 for admission to post – graduate courses in campus colleges of Andhra University at Visakhapatnam, Adikavi Nannaya University and Dr. B R Ambedkar University and in their affiliated colleges were declared here late 0n 1st May, 2011 evening.
The results are placed on the website www.andhrauniversity.info/doa/index.html. Rank cards may also be downloaded.
Tests for two courses were held on 1st May, 2011 morning. AUCET began on 27th April, 2011.
For admission to 56 courses, 38 tests were conducted. Barring MFC that has an interview and B.Ed. (Special Education) held at Srikakulam, results for the other courses were released.
For M.P.Ed., marks were given but ranks would be allotted after considering special sports certificates, Prof. Satyanarayana said.
A total of 21,548 students appeared for the test of which 9,025 were women. There are about 13,000 PG seats available.
Counselling
The counselling for admission will begin on 30th May, 2011 and the schedule will be placed on the website. Candidate that qualify in the instant or advanced supplementary examination to be held in May / June are also eligible for admission, the V-C said.
Toppers
Ramesh Pattipaka (history, 82.75 out of 90 marks), Jagannadham Tippanu (social work, 78.75) and V R Devisree Sale (biochemistry, 78) topped.
There was no cut – off mark for admission and the top score in marine living resources was 21.25, fine arts 28.25 and philosophy 32.25.
Registrar P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy and Director (Admissions) O. Anil Kumar were present.
AUCET Exam
Andhra University Common Entrance Test at 19 Centres
The Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) 2011 will commence at 11 centres in the city and eight other places in the coastal districts. The AUCET would conclude on 1st May, 2011.
Admission into post – graduate programmes of Andhra University, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (Etcherla, Srikakulam) and Adikavi Nannaya University (Rajahmundry) would be made based on the rank obtained in the tests in different subjects in the AUCET 2011.
More than 23,000 students have applied for the AUCET 2011.
Gayatri Vidya Parishad Degree College, MVP Colony and Dr. L. Bullayya College blocks II and III are the centres in Visakhapatnam.
The tests would also be conducted at Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Vijayawada and Guntur. Tests for admission into some subjects are being held in Visakhapatnam only.
Tests for admission into five – year integrated programmes, dual degree programmes and B.Engg. (aircraft engineering) and BE (electro mechanical engineering) will be conducted on 27th May, 2011.
Ranks are expected to be announced within a few days.
