Recruitment on Academic Positions

1. The University has launched Master in Development Studies from the current academic Session and classes will begin on September 1, 2009. As it is procedurally not possible to complete appointment of regular faculty against the positions approved by the University Grants Commission by September 1, 2009, applications are invited for Visiting / Associate / Adjunct faculty.
2. The Interdisciplinary Master Programme in Development Studies requires highly qualified faculty.
3. Salary and all other allowances will be fixed according to qualifications, experience and publication of the selected applicants as per the revised UGC pay scale and accordingly all benefits will be fixed.
4. That scholar, who may like to retain their lien in their parent institutions, if selected, could join on standard terms of deputation.
5. All applicants are requested to visit the Website and read carefully, the details of the Master Programme, specially various courses developed through the Curriculum Workshops and select course(s) which they would like to teach. They are also requested to write a note in five hundred words describing their interest and vision regarding the development studies and the courses they would like to teach. They may also write about their research ideas which they would like to pursue.
6. The selected faculty is expected to join by September 1, 2009.
7. The University will advertize Professor-1, Associate Professor-2 and Assistant Professor-3 in Development Studies approved by the University Grants Commission as soon as procedure for regular appointment is finalized. Eligible Visiting / Associate / Adjunct faculty then may apply for their appointment.
8. The Search / Selection Committee may decide to identify and invite suitable qualified scholar(s).

2. Finance Officer 01 Pay Band of 37400-67000 with grade Pay of 10000
3. Deputy Registrar 01 Pay Band of 15600-39100 with grade Pay of 7600
4. Assistant Registrar 01 Pay Band of 15600-39100 with grade Pay of 5400
5. Assistant Librarian 01 Pay Band of 15600-39100 with grade pay of 6000 (AGP)
