INDIAN ARMY Short Service Commission (SSC) (NT) Course April-2010 for Law Graduates Women

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals Law Graduates unmarried women for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate General Dept.

TYPE OF ENTRY
(a) Engineering Graduates : Eligible for induction into all Arms/Services. (b) Post Graduate (Non-Engg.) : Eligible for induction into the Army Education Corps (AEC).

VACANCIES :(a) Engineers : 59 (Civil-07, Electrical-04, Mechanical-07, Computer Science -05, Telecomn-09, Electronics-06, IT-04, Architecture-02, Public Health Eng.-03, Construction Engg.-03, Industrial Engg & Management- 05, Mining-04).
(b) AEC : Post Graduates (Non-Engg) – English/Economics/Music (Preferably Western Music) – 01. *NOTE : The number of vacancies given above are tentative and may be changed at any stage by Army Headquarters.

  • SSC Offices Law Graduate Women : 14 posts,Qualification : 55% marks in LLB Degree (3 years after Graduation or 5 years after 10+2), should also meet the eligibility criteria for enrollment as as advocate., Age : 21-27 years, Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.5400 plus MSP Rs.6000.

CONDITION Of ELIGIBILITY :

  • Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii)A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkhas subject of Nepal.
  • Minimum Educational Qualification: (i) For Technical Arms and Services (Engineers). A degree in Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognised University as specified in para 2(a). (ii) For Army Education Corps: MA degree from a University recognized by AIU in 1st or 2nd division as specified in para 2(b). Note: Recruiting Directorate reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account. (c) Age Limit: (I) For Engineering Graduates : 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 Jan 83 and not later than 01 Jan 90. (ab) For non-Engg Post Graduates (Army Eudcation Corps) : 23 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 Jan 83 and not later than 01 Jan 87.
