Indian Institute of Technology IIT Kharagpur Recruits Medical Officer, Staff Nurse and Junior Technician

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, an Institute of national importance, invites applications from the Indian nationals for the following post on contract basis :

1. Medical Officer : 4 Posts (UR-02, OBC-01, ST-01)
   Pay Band : Rs.15600 – 39100/- (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- and allowances as admissible.
   Qualification & Experience: MBBS degree from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in MBBS degree and at least 3 years experience in a reputed hospital in Government / PSU / Private Sector. Experience in ICU, trauma care is preferable.
   Desirable : MD/MS/DNB in the speciality preferably three years post PG experience in a large hospital.
2. Staff Nurse : 5 Posts (UR-03, OBC-01, SC-01)
   Pay Band : Rs.9300 – 34800/- (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- and allowances as admissible.
   Qualification & Experience: Intermediate OR 10+2 OR equivalent and must have passed the examination held by the Nursing Council with 3 years course in General Nursing and Mid-Wifery OR B.Sc. (Nursing).
   Desirable : Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital recognized by the Central or State Nursing Council.
3. Junior Technician: 8 posts (UR-5, OBC-2, SC-1)
   Pay Band : Rs. 5200-20200/- (PB-1) + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- and allowances as admissible
   Qualification: Bachelors Degree in the Medical Laboratory Technology / Medical Radiography Technique OR Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology / Medical Radiography Technique / Radiography Diagnostic Technician from recognized Institute approved by Central or State Medical Council.
   Desirable: Sufficient working experience in reputed organization.

General Information:

1. Reservation for ST/SC/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman as per Central Govt. Rules.
2. Persons employed in Government / Semi Government Organizations / Autonomous Bodies should submit their applications through proper channel.
3. Degree as referred above should have been awarded by a recognized University / Institute.
4. Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of selection / interview. Canvassing in any manner would entail disqualification of the candidature.
5. Experience prescribed may be relaxed in the case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.
6. The candidates should be preferably below 35 years (30 years for Staff Nurse) of age.
7. The Institute reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for interview after shortlisting with reference to the candidate’s qualification, suitability, experience, etc.
8. Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Staff Nurse.
9. Incomplete applications or applications without attested copies of certificates or received after the last date are liable to be rejected.

11. Any dispute with regard to the selection / recruitment process will be subject to Courts / Tribunals having jurisdiction over Kolkata.
