Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), is a leading profit making Public Sector Organization, a Group Company of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., in the field of Hydro-carbon processing with a refining capacity of 10.5 MMTPA, having Refineries located in Chennai and Nagapattinam, in Tamil Nadu. The Company had achieved a record turnover of Rs.32,889 Crore for the year 2007-08.
CPCL invites applications from bright, young and energetic persons of Indian Nationality for the following :
- Fire Engineer : 02 posts (UR-1,ST-1), Pay Scale : Rs.12000-17500, Age : Maximum 30 years as on 30/04/2009. Relaxation as per rules., Qualification : First class full-time B.E (Fire Engineering) Degree from a recognized Indian University / Institute / National Fire Service College, Nagpur with not less than 60% marks in aggregate of all Semesters / Years. Minimum pass will be adequate for ST candidates. Must possess valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving License. 2 years experience.

Essential: First class full-time B.E (Fire Engineering) Degree from a recognized Indian University / Institute / National Fire Service College, Nagpur with not less than 60% marks in aggregate of all Semesters / Years. Minimum pass will be adequate for ST candidates. Must possess valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving License. Preferable: Preference will be given to candidates possessing Diploma in Industrial Safety duly recognized by State Factory Inspectorate. |

Experience |
Essential: Minimum two years post-qualification work experience in Fire Fighting Operation & Maintenance of Fire & Safety Equipments in Process Industry restricted to Petroleum Refinery / Petro-chemical / Chemical / Fertilizer industry. |

Scale of Pay |
Scale of Pay: Rs.12000 – 17500 (due for revision w.e.f. 01.01.2007) In addition to Basic Pay, Industrial pattern of DA, HRA / Self-lease, Contributory PF, Gratuity, LFA (lumpsum) / LTC, Reimbursement of Medical expenses and other benefits including Superannuation benefits according to the rules of the Company. The Cost to Company works out to about Rs. 5.5 lakhs per annum. |
