Recruitment for the post of Managing Director
Orissa Hydro Power Corporation Limited is having six hydro electric power
generating stations with total installed capacity 1934.875 MW and is in the process of
executing new projects diversifying into Thermal Power Generating Stations. The
Corporation invites applications for the post of Managing Director for its Corporate
Office at Bhubaneswar.
The Managing Director shall be responsible for the day -to-day management of the
Public Enterprise and will act within the authority delegated to him by the Board of
Directors.
Scale of Pay : Rs.16400-450-20450/-. The post carries CDA, HRA in lieu of Company
Accommodation at subsidized rate, Medical Allowance and perks as per Rules.
Deserving candidates with proven track record and more relevant experienc e may be
considered for additional increments in the above scale. The pay of the candidates who
are already working in Government, State PSUs, or Central PSUs if selected, will be
protected. The scale of pay is likely to be revised. The salary may be negotiable for
deserving candidates.
Age as on 30.01.2009 : Maximum 55 years.
Tenure of Appointment :
The appointment is on tenure basis with initial contract period of 3 (three) years,
which may be extended for a further period based on performance and as per
requirements of the company. However, the contract period shall be limited to the date of
superannuation i.e 58 years as applicable at present.
Qualification & Experience :
Engineering degree in Electrical / Civil / Mechanical and / or Management degree
with minimum 20 (twenty) years of service in Government / State PSU / Central PSU or
reputed private companies in power sector with minimum 5 (five) years experience at the
senior level management, such as Chief Engineer.
